Crowell Elementary Puts on a Christmas Play

Crowell Elementary School Annual Christmas Play
Every year the elementary students of Crowell ISD put on a Christmas program. The reason that a Christmas play is performed is because it is a great way to bring the kids together, perform for the general public, and showcase the students’ talents. In the past each grade did a different skit; now all students are in one big play all together. The play last year was called Melton the Warm-Hearted Snowman. It stared Melton, Santa (of course), Mama & Papa Snowman, Reindeers, and even some elves!
Now I know some of you are asking why did the play change from every grade doing a skit to all involved in one big one; it’s because of the enrollment numbers have went down. Instead of having two first grades, 2 second grade, 2 third grades there is only 1 of each class.
This year the play is called Jingle all the way!
It stars Santa, Mrs. Santa, 3 kids, all the reindeer, and even some
elves. Some of the songs that will be sung have never been sung in
Crowell School before; the songs are “A Jingle in my Heart,”
“Whatever Happened to Christmas,” and “S.O.S.” Just in case you’re
wondering “S.O.S.” is not by the Jonas Brothers, I already
asked.
This year’s Christmas play will be in Crowell High School
Auditorium; it will start at 6:00 p.m.on December 16, 2008, and
will last anywhere from thirty to forty-five minutes.
If you attend be sure to bring a camera; you’re going to love
it
